The annual Tribal Administration Employee Appreciation Event and BBQ luncheon returned on May 18 for an in-person gathering at the EQC Tacoma Event Center. After several weeks of promising COVID-19 trends, this week there were several exposures reported at the Sound Credit Union Building and Public Safety, and a positive case at Elders. Our safety protocols are being followed in each case, with cleanings, contact tracing and testing taking place as needed. Administration met with the Tribe’s medical director today to reassess our reopening plan. We have decided to REMAIN in Phase 2. We will reassess in June. Dear Tribal Community, A Tribal government employee reported testing positive for COVID-19 late Monday. As a result the Admin building underwent a deep cleaning. Reminder: Tribal Administration proactively closed all Tribal government buildings through Jan. 19 to help slow the spread. Access by employees is limited, although services to the Membership are continuing. Employees are expected to telework, and paid administrative leave is provided to those unable to telework, with supervisory approval.
