WIC fruit and vegetable benefits increase through September

Submitted by the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority The WIC Program (Women, Infant, and Children’s Supplemental Food Program) helps support and improve the nutrition of pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants and children. Starting June 1, the fruit and vegetable benefits for WIC participants increased to $35 per participant for four months. Previously, the value of the fruit and vegetable voucher was $9 for children and $11 for women. PTHA’s WIC program is scheduling appointments in-person and through telehealth.
