Unfortunately, we have to cancel this Sunday’s Canoe Awakening and paddle practice. We will continue with the Canoe Awakening and paddle practice on May 16. Upcoming canoe practice dates: May 16 (Canoe Awakening) and May 23 Community members are welcomed. Lunch will be provided. REQUIRED: Swim wear and water shoes. Wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Attention Puyallup Tribal Elders: Smoked turkey and gifts will be given to Elders 55 and older from 1 to 3 p.m. today, Dec. 18, at the Puyallup Tribe Elders Wellness Center, 3010 Duct Cho St. (Note: Participants must be registered Tribal Elders. To safeguard against COVID-19, participants must be from Washington state.) Those who wish to participate should drive up to the center’s front door. Do not get out of your vehicle – the food will be placed in your trunk.
The Puyallup Tribal Community is invited to enjoy a drive-thru Holiday Lights display from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18. No charge – Tribal Council authorized this event to safely spread some Christmas cheer in lieu of the annual Christmas party, which was canceled due to COVID-19. The display will be at Chief Leschi Schools, 5625 52nd St. East, Puyallup. Enter through the main entrance and please stay in your car at all times for safety. Santa will make an appearance before you exit the event.
