Good evening, Tribal community. The main Administration Building will be closed Tuesday, Aug. 3. Two more employees reported positive tests for COVID-19 today. Following our usual protocols, Human Resources has been conducting contact tracing and the building is being deep cleaned. Please reschedule any in-person appointments that were to take place in Admin, as employees are being encouraged to telework. Vendors encouraged to set up tables at Sunday Pride event

The Puyallup Tribe’s second annual pride event will take place from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, at Chief Leschi Schools in the field area. The Pride Working Group is looking for vendors interested in setting up at this event. To request a space, email [email protected] by Thursday, July 22. Please bring your own tables, chairs, and tents; setup equipment is not provided. This event is open to the public. Participants are strongly encouraged to follow the Tribe’s recommended COVID-19 precautions, including wearing masks, practicing social distancing and staying away if you have symptoms.

Puyallup Tribal Council welcomes newly elected members, selects leadership

Today, Sylvia Miller, Anna Bean and Fred Dillon took the oath of office for Puyallup Tribal Council. The ceremony took place at the entrance to the I-5 Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma. Miller and Bean won re-election. Dillon won a seat that was previously held by David Z. Bean, who did not seek re-election. Following the ceremony, Tribal Council held its first meeting and nominated Bill Sterud and Sylvia Miller to continue to serve as chairman and vice chairwoman.
