There will be a free mobile COVID-19 testing clinic from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, in the Tribal Admin parking lot. No appointment is necessary. Walk-ups only. It’s open to Tribal Members and their families, and Tribal employees. You can download and sign forms ahead of time at https://www.piercecountywa.gov/6758/Covid-19-Mobile-Testing. Dear Tribal Community, A Tribal government employee reported testing positive for COVID-19 late Monday. As a result the Admin building underwent a deep cleaning. Reminder: Tribal Administration proactively closed all Tribal government buildings through Jan. 19 to help slow the spread. Access by employees is limited, although services to the Membership are continuing. Employees are expected to telework, and paid administrative leave is provided to those unable to telework, with supervisory approval. Dear Tribal Community, I am so excited and grateful that we are anticipating the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccination for our community. This is a game-changer. The vaccine will immunize those who get it. They will be far less likely to pass COVID-19 on others. It is a huge blessing. The state has our designated our community as high-risk – which means we will be able to get the vaccine quickly. We anticipate the vaccine arriving toward the end of December. We do not know how much we will get, so we will vaccinate the high-risk Elders and health-care workers…
