Puyallup Tribe’s Firecracker Alley Returns to Riverboat Property

Catch the Tribe’s big fireworks show at dusk on June 27

The Puyallup Tribe’s Firecracker Alley is open now through July 4 at 2102 Alexander Ave. in Tacoma, near the Emerald Queen Riverboat.

The annual member-owned-and-operated event features 135 fireworks stands, and about 20 food and beverage stands. This year, stand owners are permitted to operate 24 hours a day. Since there is a national fireworks shortage, organizers recommend people visit early to stock up for their Fourth of July celebrations.

Tribe’s annual fireworks show returns

The Puyallup Tribal Council is sponsoring a big fireworks show at dusk on June 27. The event is free and open to the public. It was canceled last year due to the pandemic.

Although state and county COVID-19 precautions are easing this month for many outdoor events, the Tribal Council is requiring everyone entering Firecracker Alley to wear a mask and practice social distancing while on the property.

Firecracker Alley seasonal positions for flaggers, maintenance and security staff are available. For more information, go to www.puyalluptribe-nsn.gov, and click on “Employment.”
