Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples Awareness Day

Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples Awareness Day

Today is #RedDressDay and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples Awareness Day.

In honor of our missing and murdered Indigenous relatives wear red, listen and makes space for the stories of our survivors and their families, share missing persons’ fliers, speak of the disproportionate rates of violence that our Indigenous people face, and take part of local awareness events.

Our Community Domestic Violence Program (CDVAP) hung red dresses in the Puyallup Tribal Administration parking lot on Tuesday, May 3, to bring attention to those who are missing and to commemorate the lives that were taken too soon.
