Free Washington State Fair tickets available to Puyallup Tribal Elders while supplies last

Puyallup Tribal Elders can “Do the Puyallup” for free this year thanks to free Washington State Fair tickets from the Tribe’s Elders Wellness Center (while supplies last).

There are two easy ways for Puyallup Tribal members who are 55 and older to pick those up: Either stop by the Elders Center during normal business hours (it closes at noon on Friday) or look for Elders Director Vernetta Miller at the Labor Day Weekend Pow-wow at Chief Leschi Schools this weekend.

Washington’s biggest end-of-summer celebration kicks off Friday and runs through Sept. 24 this year, bringing more than three weeks of bronc-bustin’ rodeo action, exhilarating amusement rides and hot buttery scones to the Washington State Fair Events Center, 110 Ninth Ave. SW, in Puyallup. Not to mention the Umpqua Bank Concert Series, which will bring the likes of Chicago, The Temptations, Joe Nichols, Dylan Scott, the Zac Brown Band and Kehlani to the Fair’s 11,000-seat grandstand (ticket price not included with fair admission for most shows.)

Call 253-680-5482 for information on Elders tickets, and visit the www.thefair.com for information on the fair.
