Dear Tribal Member,
We are entering our election season for 2019. There will be two (2) positions open on Tribal Council. Please mark the following dates on your calendar:
Wednesday, February 20th, 2019
Deadline for Notice of Candidacy: must be submitted to Council Secretary by 12:00 p.m.(noon) by those interested in running for the open position
Deadline for Tribal Newspaper Voter’s Pamphlet: submit Candidacy letter and photo by 5:00 p.m.; location to be announced in the Tribal Newspaper.
Friday, March 1st , 2019
Deadline for absentee ballot request – must be received in Election Committee P.O. Box by 9:00 a.m.
Saturday, April 6th, 2019
Absentee ballots must be received in the Election Committee’s P.O. Box by 8:00 a.m.
PRIMARY ELECTION: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Tribal Administration Building, 3009 E. Portland Ave., Tacoma, WA, 98404
Thursday, April 11th, 2019
Courtesy mail-out of election count: deadline for Voter General Election Pamphlet by 5:00 p.m. to Council Secretary. Absentee ballot requests mailed out for General Election.
Thursday, May 2nd, 2019
